What are Cyber Crimes and how can they be stopped?

Cyber crimes are the crimes can also be called as computer based crimes as these crimes require computer or network connectivity. Hacking, fraud, identity theft, scam, computer virus, ransomware etc. These kind of crimes can be prevented by creating awareness among the people about cyber crimes and also by increasing the knowledge in illiterate areas or by organizing counseling centers so that people can know what is real and what is fake. By creating awareness to each and every individual in the nation, the rate of cyber crimes can be gradually got down. Even our nation’s Government can also play a huge role fighting against cyber crimes. People should be educated in such a way that they will know whether to trust a person or software or app ,etc. Police punishments or sections under cyber crimes must also increase the harshness of the punishments so that the people who think of doing any cyber crime will be afraid of doing it and thus cyber crimes can be prevented to a greater extent. Few precautions can be using a secured internet connection, by using strong passwords, by using security patches, by managing the social media(by not chatting with unknown people), by using safe URLs which do not contain any malware, virus, etc. Hence we can say by using or following the above methods we can prevent cyber crimes therefore getting down the levels of cyber crimes.
